Computing Facilities

We have many computers available throughout the College for you to use so you won’t have to compete to get time on them. They are installed with the latest learning technologies and up-to-date computer hardware and software. We find our students appreciate them as a valuable aid to their learning because you can gather information, analyse it and produce your work using them.

All of the computers are networked and link you to the internet, CD-Rom resources, programs for specific courses of study and general packages for word processing, spreadsheets and desktop publishing, as well as specialist packages, where applicable. All internet use is filtered to prevent access to unauthorised websites. You must conform to the Computer Users’ Code of Conduct for legal reasons. New electronic media and computers will play an important role in your learning. All higher education courses use Moodle - the College’s virtual learning environment - to communicate with you and provide you with invaluable course information.
