Providing education and training to Plymouth, Devon, Cornwall and the wider community
To support your studies we have libraries at each of the two main centres - Kings Road and Goschen. You will probably find that these will be the key resources for the information that you will need during your studies. You will find over 50,000 books, 350 different journals and newspapers, DVDs, videos and on-line resources.
Our Library staff are ready to help and advise you from the day you arrive. When you are ready they will show you how the service works, where to find the resources you need for your course, whether they are books or particular websites. You can also find this information on our student intranet, Moodle. The staff also run drop-in workshops through the year. Here you will learn about particular study topics, such as finding and evaluating websites, how to avoid plagiarism, and refining your research skills.
Private Study
When you need to research and write your essays, dissertations or read about subjects you will want study facilities. There are facilities at both the Kings Road and Goschen centres, with computer study areas including WiFi points.
Plymouth University Library
A huge benefit of being in partnership with Plymouth University is that you have use not only of the College library and learning resources service, but also the University’s library and use of the inter-library loan service. When you start your course you will be given student accounts so you can use the electronic resources of both institutions in College and from home.
