The Students' Union (SU) is an organisation run by and for students and is designed to help you make the most out of your time as a student. It is open to all students.  It is affiliated to the National Union of Students (NUS).

All students who are currently enrolled at the College (including University of Plymouth and other students on franchised courses) and who are genuinely participating in any such course (whether or not based at a College site) will be eligible for membership of the College SU. The SU represents student opinion within the College, and also enables you to participate in democratic processes on a local and national level.

All students have the right not to be a member of the SU if they so wish - you will be asked to confirm this when enrolling.

Students on courses approved by Plymouth University may also join the University of Plymouth’s Students’ Union (UPSU) and enjoy full access to the UPSU facilities and services. There are around 100 sporting clubs and activity-based societies making up the UPSU hub of student activity. Sporting clubs range from the traditional football, rugby and hockey, to the off-the-wall 'octopush' and 'ultimate frisbee', and the adventurous caving, skiing and snowboarding.

The University’s Union has three bars that host an array of live acts from comedians and hypnotists to live bands and DJs. Weekly promotions include bar quizzes, karaoke, bar bingo and film nights.
