NVQ Diploma - OCR
This course is designed to reflect the activities and responsibilities of those who are fully developed and experienced practitioners, particularly in guidance and formal advocacy. Candidates might also have some managerial or training responsibilities. They could also be creators of information, advice and guidance, either disseminating information themselves as practitioners or through their organisation in the form of publications. Candidates at this level are expected to have a more dynamic relationship with other organisations.
You may wish to progress onto higher education qualifications - for example a foundation degree.
To achieve a full OCR Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Advice and Guidance you must gain 37 credits made up of five mandatory units of 17 credits and optional units totalling 20 credits.

You will need to collect a variety of evidence such as statements, observations and testimonies to build a portfolio. All of this will be under the guidance of an assessor. Once the criteria for each unit has been met, the unit will be sigend off as competent.
This NVQ provides a framework to ensure your staff are competent in a range of skills, knowledge and understanding of the advice and guidance functions required in their job role.
Certain "part-time" courses may become "full-time" (if additional courses are taken), and "full-time" courses may become "part-time" to suit your requirements.
If you are aged 16-18, due to Government funding, tuition fees may not be applicable for your course (Please note: this does not apply to foundation degrees or access to higher education courses, and other courses not eligible for public funding).
Please note that fees quoted apply to courses starting in the academic year 2012 / 13 (August 2012 - July 2013). There may be a slight increase in fees for courses starting 2013 / 14.
