Case Studies

Ashleigh Johns

I studied beauty at City College Plymouth, the courses were really thorough, and I learnt so much, that’s why I knew I wanted to come back here to do my A1 Assessor Award in Beauty. It took me a year to do my assessors award, including a work placement which I was able to do at Creative Solutions Beauty Salon, situated at the College. Here I practiced assessing students performing body treatments, facials, waxing and nail enhancements.

Once I had qualified as an assessor I immediately starting looking for a job, during this time I heard about Pure - the College’s new Hair and Day Spa. When I saw how fantastic the facilities were here I knew it would be a great place to work.

It feels like I’ve gone full circle as I’m now the one assessing the students...
