Business and Administration

Intermediate Apprenticeship - OCR, EDI and City & Guilds

Level Two

What's it all about? 

Administrators are an essential part of every business. No matter what the company offer, admin is always required to ensure maximum productivity. This is where you come in! As an apprentice, you will learn business and operational needs and become a crucial part of a team where you will learn the office dynamics. You will carry out a variety of duties and learn new skills to allow you to grow through the business. Whether you are at the forefront dealing with the customers or behind the scenes ensuring everything is in place - admin is the place to start your career!

The majority of your training/learning will take place within your workplace. On completion of the Apprenticeship you will gain a suite of vocational qualifications which form part of the Intermediate Apprenticeship framework.


On successful completion you may progress to advanced level courses such as the Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration or the Level 3 Apprenticeship in Customer Service at the College, or employment opportunities in a vast range of organisations.

Please Note

Certain "part-time" courses may become "full-time" (if additional courses are taken), and "full-time" courses may become "part-time" to suit your requirements.

Fees quoted apply to courses starting in the academic year 2016/17 (August 2016 - July 2017). There may be a slight increase in fees for courses starting 2017/18.

If you are aged 16-18, due to Government funding, tuition fees may not be applicable for your course. (Please note: this does not apply to foundation degrees or access to higher education courses, and other courses not eligible for public funding.)

Important information for 16 - 18 year olds

In order to support you in your future career, all 16-18 year old students in both schools and colleges who do not have an A*-C grade in their English or maths GCSE will study towards a GCSE as part of their main study programme. If you achieve grade E or below you will study towards a Functional Skills English and/or maths qualification.
