What's it all about? 

Advanced Apprenticeships are for learners employed as an apprentice by an electrical company within Devon and Cornwall. Funding is guaranteed by the Government for the training, with priority being given to learners starting aged 16 to 18 years. We can assist in matching learners to employers.

The course content will include:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electro-Technical Services
  • Functional Skills: application of number, communication at level 2 and information technology at level 1
  • technical certificate: level 3 certification in electro-technical technology with practical support in learning.
  • AM2 practical test.

Entry Requirements 

Entry is by an initial assessment in the Work-based Learning department, followed by a vocational assessment within the electrical department.

Duration 

Four years

Business Benefits 

Off the job up-to-date training is provided free of charge in most cases. The employer is investing in future qualified skilled staff.

Are there any exams? 

Assessment is continuous, both on and off the job.

Please note that fees quoted apply to courses starting in the academic year 2011 / 12 (August 2011 - July 2012). There may be a slight increase in fees for courses starting 2012 / 13.
