What's it all about? 

This course will benefit anyone in the workplace who has been appointed to carry out fire safety tasks on behalf of the employer. It is suitable for employees hoping to develop their basic fire safety awareness and undertake specific fire safety roles such as fire warden/fire marshall in order to assist their employer to manage fire risk.

Progression 

Progression to other qualifications in fire safety may be possible provided that all the necessary entry requirements are met.

This qualification will assist employers to comply with fire safety legislation and fire safety within the different working areas within the workplace.

Are there any exams? 

You will be assessed by a multiple choice test paper, which will be sat on the day.

Course Content

What does the course involve? 

The course will include fire hazards and control measures, the procedures for fire risk assessments and fire safety inspections. Also some guidance on the use of fire safety equipment and how to implement emergency procedures, including safe evacuation of people in the workplace.
