What's it all about? 

Do you work in catering within the local authority, school meal service, residential and care homes, National Health Service, licensed retail or cafe style outlet? Or perhaps you work as a contractor or direct caterer and would like to gain a relevant qualification that affirms the skills and knowledge you have gained. This qualification covers the production of a range of basic food items as well as additional unit choice to reflect your current job role ranging from dealing with payments, providing a counter/take away service, converting a room for dining to completing kitchen documentation.

Progression 

Successful students may progress to the NVQ 3 Hospitality Supervision.

Entry Requirements 

You must be working in a suitable environment.

Duration 

Up to one year
