What's it all about? 

This course is ideal for you if you are  currently working in an adult caring environment. You will need to be employed to undertake this qualification to enable you to demonstrate your ability to work at this level.

The course consists of mandatory and option units which are selecetd in discussion with yourself and your manager and can be covered by the generic adult care pathway, dementia pathway or learning disabilities pathway.

 

Progression 

On successful completion of this course, you may progress to higher level courses in health and social care.

Entry Requirements 

You will need to be employed to undertake the tasks required at level 3, and a have good literacy and numeracy skills. You will also need to have a clean CRB record.

Duration 

20 weeks teaching (one year to complete full diploma)

Are there any exams? 

You will need to build a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate your ability to work at this level. You will be allocated a College assessor, who will support you through this award.
