What's it all about?

If you are interested in a career in IT and are unsure about exactly which area (hardware, software, networking, business) to focus on, then this course allows you to experience them all - and then pick the one you like. It starts as a subsidiary diploma which gives you a sample of much of the IT industry’s subjects. On successful completion of the subsidiary diploma you can progress to the extended diploma where you will focus on your chosen subject - hardware, software, networking or business.

The diploma part of this course allows you to hone your skills in your specific subject to allow you to progress into higher education or employment with ease.

The full list of units on this course can be seen in our "Course Overview"

Progression

On successful completion of the subsidiary diploma you may progress to the extended diploma or gain entry level employment within the IT industry. After the extended diploma you may progress to higher education courses at the College or at a university, or gain trainee level employment within the IT industry.
