What's it all about? 

You already fit the bill for a career in licensed hospitality. You've already proved in practice that you are a 'people person', well organised and skilled in the operational side of the business. With this course you'll now be able to take the next step up in learning more about the key business fundamentals and be able to add to your suite of formal qualifications that recognises your professionalism in this trade.

Advanced Diploma in Licensed Hospitality.

For managers, supervisors and owners of hospitality and tourism businesses.

Two days per unit

In the hospitality industry, people are often placed in a position of authority having worked their way up the management chain through sheer hard work with little chance for formal learning. The core units of the PBP provide understanding of three key areas not addressed in working life and these are:

  • profit and loss / budget control
  • understanding your market
  • motivating your team.

Are there any exams? 

Open book test and a short answer examination paper per unit.

Course Content

What does the course involve? 

The Profitable Business Portfolio (PBP) is designed to give managers and supervisors the skills to effectively manage their business through a combination of training and self-study, resulting in a nationally recognised qualification to advanced level.

The core units of the PBP provide understanding of three key areas not addressed in working life and these are:

  • profit and loss / budget control
  • understanding your market
  • motivating your team.

Thursdays and Fridays, 9.00am - 5.00pm
