With our work based learning course, under your belt, you will now be able to get a formal qualification that will recognise your professionalism, which will stand you in good stead for your next career step.

Progression 

Successful students may progress to the Level 3 Diploma in Retail Skills at the College.

Entry Requirements 

You will:

  • have to be employed in a retail environment
  • have to have support from your line manager
  • have the opportunity to collect evidence in work
  • be able to build a portfolio
  • have the opportunity for workplace observations.

Duration 

Six months

Course Content

What does the course involve? 

This qualification is about working in a retail environment. You will find it appropriate if you are:

  • already competent in basic skills and require recognition of a wider range of abilities in retailing
  • wishing to demonstrate competence gained previously in retailing or associated industries.

To achieve the full award candidates must achieve 37 credits in total, including one mandatory unit of 11 credits.
