What's it all about? 

As an apprentice you will achieve valuable occupational competence within a warehousing and storage role. You will be employed. The majority of your training/learning will take place within your workplace. On completion of the Apprenticeship you will gain a suite of vocational qualifications which form part of the Apprenticeship framework - a great start to your career.

Entry Requirements 

Acceptance on this course will be determined through interview, diagnostic testing and vocational assessment.

Are there any exams? 

There is a combination of direct observation of performance and portfolio of evidence for NVQ and key skills. Key skill assessment of portfolio plus exanination (although candidates my be exempt due to GCSE results). You may have to attend specific College workshops.

Course Content

What does the course involve? 

You must complete a framework which covers the Level 2 Certificate in Warehousing and Storage.

To gain a full award you must achieve a minimum total of 26 credits, comprising of two mandatory units. Units are to be taken from option group one (minimum of six credits), option group two (minimum of three credits), option group three (minimum of one credit) and option group four (minimum of three credits). In group five any combination of units can be taken to a minimum of six credits.

Mandatory Units

Unit one: health, safety and security at work.

Unit two: develop effective working relationships with colleagues in logistics operations.

Optional Units

A choice from 24 specific units which are tailored to warehousing and storage logistic operations.

Level 2 Certificate in Warehousing and Storage (Technical Certificate).
