Plymouth and its surrounding areas within Devon and Cornwall are one of England’s major visitor attractions. Famed for its moorland and coastal location Plymouth also has a wealth of hotel, restaurants, conference facilities and visitor attractions, all of which require skilled staff who can deliver high levels of customer service to both residents and visitors.
City College Plymouth offers a variety of programmes for the hospitality sector, ranging from service staff through to managers and senior personnel. Our courses help provide individuals with the skills required to offer a first-class service to the most discerning customer.
We work closely with a wide range of employers and external groups, including the Duke of Cornwall Hotel, Dartmouth Golf and Country Club and the Plymouth Hospitality Sector Group, City Safe and Visit Devon. This provides us with an opportunity to understand fully the requirements of the sector, and to ensure that the training and courses we offer are appropriate and relevant to the sector.
