Teaching and Training
The College offers nationally accredited teacher training qualifications which are recognised by all employers in the post-compulsory sector.
The Preparing to Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) introductory award demonstrates to potential employers that you have acquired a basic toolkit for teaching. It can open doors to teaching and training opportunities in a wide range of contexts.
The Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS) intermediate course shows you can train and assess learners in a range of roles, such as those performed by NVQ assessors, work-based trainers, practical skills teachers, public services and commercial training providers.
The Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS) course shows you have completed a full teacher training qualification. Typically, fully qualified teachers work in FE colleges and organisations offering publically funded courses.
