What training is available for my business?
City College Plymouth offers a wide range of skills-based education and training to meet your business needs, ranging from qualifications in literacy and numeracy, through to higher education short courses and foundation degrees. Our Employer Response Team is staffed by a team of Business Skills Advisors who will work with you to understand the needs of your business before recommending a training solution which delivers the skills you need.
We have specialist Business Skills Advisors covering the construction, engineering and manufacturing, health and social care, and hospitality sectors. Our advisors act as a single point of contact for all of your communications with the College, ensuring that your relationship with us is first class.
How do I find out about course dates, prices and availability?
This website contains a comprehensive list of our courses including dates and prices. Before booking training for your staff, we recommend that you contact the Employer Response Team at the College by telephoning 01752 305026 or by e-mailing employers@cityplym.ac.uk where you will gain access to a one-stop-shop designed to ensure that you are accessing the right programme, to highlight any additional funding you may be entitled to and to process bookings on your behalf.
In addition to the courses listed on our website and within our publications, our Business Skills Advisors and expert delivery teams are able to design and deliver programmes to meet your specific needs. If you don't see what you're looking for on our website, please contact the Employer Response Team on 01752 305026 to find out about our cost-effective bespoke training programmes which run from as little as £45 per person, per day.
How do I know if there is funding to support the training I need?
We recognise that keeping abreast of the many funding initiatives available to support your training needs can be both difficult and time-consuming. Our Employer Response Team offers access to fully trained staff who are experienced in maximising all available funding, and can work with you to design a solution which delivers the skills you need to succeed, whilst making the most of any additional funding you and your staff are entitled to.

Can training be delivered in the workplace?
We aim to offer completely flexible training solutions, dependent on your business needs. Wherever possible, we will offer you the option to attend training at one of the College's sites or to have training delivered on your business premises.
