College Governors

Are you interested in shaping the strategy and character of your local college?

A Governor is responsible for the mission, educational character and solvency of the College.

The role involves:

  • serving on at least one Corporation Standing Committee
  • taking part in corporate strategic planning sessions
  • reaching corporate decisions
  • giving priority to attending corporate board and relevant Standing Committee meetings
  • supporting College events
  • attending leadership training sessions.

The College has 16 Governors who come from a wide variety of backgrounds including education, public and private sectors, as well as students and staff from the College. Their combined experience, expertise and knowledge enable the Board of the Corporation to respond to the College needs and that of the local community and businesses.
