Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) in High Technology Engineering LogoCity College Plymouth is a well-established government-funded institution located on two main sites in the west of the city of Plymouth - a 15 minute walk from the city centre. With 800 staff and approximately 3,000 full-time students (as well as 23,000 who attend on a part-time basis) the College is one of the largest in the UK. There are 130 international students from 25 different countries.

  • is a partner College of the University of Plymouth and works closely with the University to develop joint courses and to ensure progression for successful students
  • has been named as a Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) in High Technology Engineering, Hospitality and Tourism and Marine Engineering

  • offers high levels of academic and pastoral care and support
  • has a licence from the UK Border Agency to issue visa letters

  • is a member of the British Council's Education UK Partnership and is also a member of UKCISA (Council for International Education) which provides advice and information to international students studying in the UK
  • subscribes to HOST - a national organisation in the UK which organises visits to British families for international students, giving them a unique insight into British culture and way of life.
