College Runs DIY Bricklaying Course

City College Plymouth is calling all budding DIYers who may be interested in a ten-week course in bricklaying.

The course will enable people to establish and develop DIY skills to a level one standard. The subjects covered include brick and blockwork walling, erecting and dismantling platforms, applying surface finishings, setting out and elementary building.

Trowel trades section leader, Wayne Sheppard, says: "This course is a great opportunity for people to sample bricklaying, plastering, stonework and laying concrete finishes. Successful completion of the course will allow students to progress on to a part-time course in bricklaying."

The course is run at convenient times - Saturday mornings. For further information and start dates please call 01752 305300.
