City College Plymouth announced today that one of its students completed his NVQ in record time. Michael Quick, of Bradford Building Supplies completed an NVQ Level 3 in Distribution, Warehousing and Storage Operations in ten weeks, the course can take up to 12 months to complete.

The Level 3 NVQ in Distribution, Warehousing and Storage Operations is about the safe and economical handling of goods and materials. Candidates are expected to manage teams of people and have a degree of responsibility for all aspects of warehousing and logistic operations.

Brian Town, NVQ Assessor at City College Plymouth commented: "Michael was very professional, dedicated and effective in completing his NVQ in a record time. He took ownership of the evidence gathering and portfolio presentation, whilst setting his own targets and goals with the College's guidance.

"Michael was very pleased with the support provided by City College Plymouth and the guidance given to achieve his qualification in a very efficient manner."

At present, City College Plymouth is offering Free National Vocational Qualifications in a number of areas. NVQs are flexible qualifications that ensure you have the skills, knowledge and understanding to do the job well. They are attractive to both employers and employees as they are based on an employee's performance at work, providing evidence of that individual's ability to do the job.
