City College Plymouth students studying for a national diploma in media, have been working with six different companies to design a new logo and other media related products, ranging from stationary to t-shirts, as part of their design and layout unit.

The 16 students were given an initial brief by the companies and asked to produce three different ideas before presenting their final design.

The winning design will be used by Vickery Holman Property Consultants on their 'Three Peak Challenge' charity event.

Alex Sproson of Vickery Holman commented: "it's a fantastic opportunity to get the students of Plymouth involved with real life design projects, and give them this type of experience at such an early stage in their professional career."

Carol Killen, head of faculty of arts and science at City College Plymouth commented: "This project shows how well businesses in and around the city work with City College Plymouth to provide a first class learning experience for our students."

The companies involved are Vickery Holman Property Consultants, Theatre Royal, The Waterfront Restaurant, Stresscare, Apt Theatre and JJ's Music School.
