In light of the economic downturn and most people feeling the pinch - City College Plymouth is offering cut-price hair and beauty treatments, so pampering need no longer be a guilty pleasure.

The 'Creative Solutions' salon, which is based at the Kings Road Centre in Devonport, is offering half price treatments to members of the public, who will act as 'models' to help students with their assignments, supervised by fully-qualified hairdressers and beauty therapists.

The Salon is offering half price haircuts, perms, shampoo and set and blow-dry and half price on all beauty treatments, excluding basic facials.

Programme Area Manager, Josephine John commented: "We understand that everyone is feeling the pinch at the moment, so we're pleased to offer our services at a reduced price. Our Salon houses the very latest equipment and our students are of a very high standard."
