College Awarded For its Work With Local Business

City College Plymouth - a provider of high-quality training and business development solutions has achieved certification by the Training Quality Standard with Excellence in Engineering.

The College is working hard to support local and regional businesses in having access to a world-class, knowledgeable and skilful workforce and has already been awarded with the Training Quality Standard in Construction and Hospitality and Tourism sectors.

The Training Quality Standard has been adopted by the Learning and Skills Council to recognise and accredit training providers which demonstrate high- quality training and development solutions for employers, meeting their needs and positively impacting upon their business outcomes.

The College was one of the first further education colleges in the country to achieve the Training Quality Standard’s Full Standard and it is now forging ahead in its field by being recognised with Excellence in three different sectors.

Viv Gillespie, Principal at the College said: “I am delighted that our commitment to quality training has been recognised in yet another important sector.
