Providing education and training to Plymouth, Devon, Cornwall and the wider community
City College Plymouth is hosting an open evening for its range of higher education qualifications.
Potential students will be invited along to the College’s Kings Road site in Devonport, on Tuesday 8 June between 4.30pm and 6.30pm, where there will be presentations on higher education and foundation degrees, as well as a presentation on student funding.
The College still has availability on a number of its full and part-time foundation degree courses, including business, electrical engineering and renewable energy, forensic science and live sound.
Foundation degrees (FDs) are two year degree-level courses (full-time) which are the equivalent to studying for the first two years of an honours degree at university. They are designed in collaboration with employers and offer students the opportunity to combine academic study with the skills and attributes needed in the workplace.
There are a number of higher national certificate courses which still have availability including construction, civil engineering, hospitality and management.
Julie Goering, Head of Higher Education at the College said: “Opportunities for higher-level study at the College are excellent. Students have the opportunity to study in a small and friendly environment, whilst enjoying outstanding facilities and excellent teaching.”
There will be an opportunity for visitors to meet the College staff and students as well as support services, and tour the facilities.
