Providing education and training to Plymouth, Devon, Cornwall and the wider community
City College Plymouth hosted its third annual Reece French Memorial Competition – commemorating the life of Reece French a former construction student who died tragically on site.
The competition was open to City College Plymouth students undertaking a qualification in bricklaying. Their skills and talents were judged by building a complex wall in an allocated time.
Wayne Sheppard, lecturer at City College Plymouth commented: “I’m really pleased that we’re able to make the Reece French Memorial Competition an annual event and commemorate his life.
It’s also something that the students were very keen to continue with. They’ve worked incredibly hard today and throughout the year and this is a worthy opportunity to showcase their talents.”
Reece’s parents presented the trophy and prizes to the six winners.
