Performing arts students from City College Plymouth are attending an Indian culture workshop as part of their course.

The workshop, held over two days, is being led by Ravi Nathwani, Community Leader and Hindu Chaplain at Exeter University and will involve Indian dance, traditional costumes, religion and Hindu festivals.

College lecturer Mark Sidey, said: “We are delighted to welcome Ravi Nathwani and Indian dance specialist, Vinitha Rajkumar to the College as part of our annual Embrace Festival celebrating equality and diversity within the community.

We couldn’t have asked for a better way to launch the festival which culminates in a performance of the students’ work at the Goschen Centre on the 24 and 25 October at 7.00pm.
