Tuition Fees for Higher Education Courses

Tuition fees for full-time foundation degrees students at City College Plymouth are £2,000 per year. However, all full-time students still actively registered in March 2010 will be eligible to receive a College bursary of £600 (£775 if a second year student). You can apply to Student Finance England for a student loan to cover your £2,000 tuition fees, and also for a maintenance loan to cover your living costs, disabled student allowances and childcare grant.

Tuition fees for part-time higher education students depends on whether you are studying over two or three years.

Further information can be found on our 'Considering a Degree?' pages and the Directgov website.

Course Material Fees

All students may be charged separately for course materials, which are payable in full at enrolment.  Details of the actual cost are given on the course information pages and will be confirmed in writing prior to your enrolment.

Paying Your Fees

When tuition fees are paid in full on enrolment you may be entitled to a 15% discount on the tuition fee, regardless of who is paying the fees.  This discount does not apply to the course material fees. Other exclusions include higher education courses, specifically priced contracts for delivery of training, and certain other courses. Please ask for details when enrolling.

Alternatively you can pay by instalments - 25% on enrolment and three further payments made by direct debit.

If you have a sponsor, for example your employer, they will need to complete an Employers' Undertaking.  Payment by instalments is not available to sponsors.
