Careers Education and Guidance

We are very proud of our award-winning careers service. Our Student Services team has achieved the Investors in Careers award and the MATRIX quality standard for the high quality of our impartial advice.

During your time at the College we will help you to plan ahead for the next stage of your education/career. We offer all students a number of services including:

• individual careers interviews
• comprehensive careers information
• computer-based guidance packages
• group information sessions
• job vacancy/CV support
• assessment of work interests and aptitudes.

The College works with Careers South West to support students under the age of 19.  Careers South West Personal Advisors are available at all the College sites for individual and group activities.

Continuing at City College Plymouth

Of course we'd love you to stay with us, either full or part-time, to add to the skills, training and qualifications you've already gained. Throughout the year Student Services co-ordinate 'Focus on Your Future' activities, encouraging you to think about your next steps and helping you make the right choice.  Activities include CV writing, interview skills, visits to local universities and HE funding breifings, and are supported by our Focus on Your Future website.
