City College Plymouth has a very pro-active SU with a sabbactical president.  This year the president is A level student, Sergiu Filiuta.  Serg's election campaign was all about encouraging more students to get involved with the College and making sure that the SU represented its students.

The SU also works with the Student Liaison team to provide a range of social, cultural and sporting activities on and off campus including:

• trips
• gigs
• events
• clubs
• societies
• teams
• competitions
• campaigns
• and welfare activities.

ccpsu is particularly proud that our 2007/8 and 2008/9 sabbatical president, Shane Chowen, was elected to represent further education students as the Vice President Further Education (VPFE) at the National Union of Students (NUS) for 2009/10.
