Would your organisation benefit from fresh talent? Do you want to save money, address skills gaps and make sure your new member of staff is the perfect fit for your business? Or have you got existing staff members keen to progress in their careers and who are keen to develop new skills?
By using Apprenticeships, you get the chance to train new and existing staff members. An apprentice costs less than you might think, and funding is available. Whether your sector is construction or catering, business services or hair and beauty, an Apprenticeship could help take your organisation to the next level. And we’ll be here to support you every step of the way.
A New Apprentice
If you are considering taking on an apprentice you should know that we place hundreds of students in Apprenticeships across Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall. Our success rate is well above average and Ofsted rated our Apprenticeship programme to be Outstanding. So we’re confident that we can help you to find the perfect apprentice to meet your business needs.
How it Works
Once we have a clear idea of the type of person you’re looking for, we’ll search our pool of candidates. We’ll also advertise your job description on the College website, the National Apprenticeship Service’s website and through Careers South West.
Within ten working days, you’ll receive a shortlist of candidates who we feel could be a good match for the role, and for your organisation. We can co-ordinate interviews for you, and offer support to help you choose the best person.
You’ll then employ your chosen apprentice under your usual terms and conditions.
Upskilling Existing Staff Members
What better way to train your existing staff than through an Apprenticeship? Apprenticeships are an easy process to really develop your team members to ensure that you both gain maximum benefits – developing your staff whilst developing your business!
