Taking on an apprentice is a cost-effective way of expanding or developing your workforce.
If you have less than 50 employees, the Government provides financial assistance when you take on a new staff member aged 16 to 18.
The way the Government funds Apprenticeships in England changed in April 2017. Some employers are now required to contribute to a new Apprenticeship levy. The levy is part of an Apprenticeship reform by the Government to support its target of funding three million new apprentices by 2020. For further information contact our Business Engagement team.
