City College has launched its new website – Designed and built by local creative agency, Bluestone360, the new site focuses on exciting ways of interacting with the College and finding out about the courses on offer.

New features include an enhanced course search function where prospective students can search by their interests, as well as subject areas and qualification types. There is also much more video content and links with the College’s YouTube channel and improved responsiveness when using mobile devices.

Pauline Hands, Director of Marketing, said: “The new website follows a period of extensive research and development. In addition to aesthetically redesigning the site, we have also enhanced the user experience in accessing information relating to our wide range of courses, whilst offering in-depth information from student support services to the fantastic facilities at the College.

“Bluestone360 has done an amazing job for us. Working with local companies is something we are passionate about here at City College and teaming up with Bluestone360 has been a very rewarding experience. One of the project’s biggest challenges was finding a creative design that made it easier for prospective students to find the right course for them, whether they already knew what they wanted to study or needed a bit of direction. We are delighted with the final product and have received a great deal of positive feedback from students and staff.”

“The new website’s layout has dramatically improved the user experience, placing the emphasis upon searching for course information and applying in a minimum of clicks,” said Mathew Riley, Head of Digital at Bluestone. “We subtly evolved the College’s branding to work across the website. The clean and clear design makes it easier to communicate to the user, creating a bold and contemporary look-and-feel that evokes the College’s brand values, and helps to establish a confident website that will attract students of all ages and interests.”
