Monet Wozencroft

Monet Wozencroft studies Medical Science here at City College Plymouth. We asked her why she chose us and what she loves about her course. Here is what she had to say.

Why did you choose City College Plymouth?
I chose to come to City College Plymouth because I decided that sixth form wasn’t for me and that I didn’t want to stay in that school environment that I had been in for five years. I wanted to go and do something different.

What would you say to someone who is thinking about joining the College?
I would say to definitely give it a try. Especially because, if you are like me, and A Levels didn’t work for you
I definitely think you should give City College Plymouth a try because it’s not anything like school is.
That’s another thing that surprised me when I came here, is that fact that it is nothing like school. When you go into A Levels you’re pretty much still in school, but when you come here it’s completely different and there’s different courses.

How has the College helped you prepare for your career goals?
My College at the moment is helping me prepare for my career goals by supporting me during my UCAS application, which I am currently filling out, as well as helping me to find a work placement because the course that I want to go on to includes a work placement.

Why would you recommend City College Plymouth?
I would recommend City College Plymouth to anybody that is coming here, just purely because of the diversity that is here and the amount of different kinds of people that you meet and just the different experience that you get here that you wouldn’t probably get in sixth form or at another College.

Can you describe City College Plymouth in three words?
If I had to describe City College Plymouth in three words it’d be: challenging, rewarding and fun.
