Devon-based ethical IT company, Cosmic, have partnered with City College Plymouth to offer an innovative Digital Leadership Programme to local businesses.

The Cosmic Digital Leadership Programme will help businesses in the region to access the latest strategic thinking on digital developments for business and discover new business models which could increase productivity and even help organisations to forge new business relationships with others; thus improving their digital leadership and strengthening Plymouth’s local supply chain and economy.

Julie Hawker and Kate Doodson, Joint CEOs of Cosmic, said: “Our Digital Leadership Programme has been devised in direct response to the needs identified by the Government’s own research into digital business strategies. With digital, things can develop and change so quickly, so we aim to bridge the gap between businesses and their digital potential and give them the tools to keep up with the latest innovations. Working with the College will allow us to reach out to Plymouth businesses directly and offer this first-class training in a high-level learning environment.”

This latest partnership forged by the College, who have a fast-growing reputation for promoting enterprise, employability and STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) training, will ensure that Plymouth businesses are fully prepared for those ever-evolving digital advances.

Pauline Hands, Director of Business Engagement at City College, said: “In this digital age, investing in your digital skills is a must for every business, but many have yet to address this issue at senior executive and board levels within their organisation. Cosmic’s programme aims to provide an effective and successful means of achieving those skills through an advanced programme offering support, mentoring and training throughout.

“We are delighted to be working with Cosmic to provide top-level training in our recently opened Regional Centre of Excellence for STEM for this often overlooked but crucial area of business development.”
