The OCR Level 2 Diploma in Administration (Business Professional) recognises your understanding of administrative functions and activities and your ability to carry out a range of administrative tasks autonomously. The qualification is flexible, allowing you to choose individual units that best fit your needs and level of achievement, whilst at the same time ensuring that essential areas of knowledge and skill from the administrative sector are covered.
To achieve a full OCR Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration (Business Professional), you
must achieve 37 credits made up of two mandatory units of ten credits and optional units totalling 27 credits.

Although no previous formal qualifications are required to embark on the qualification, you will
need to demonstrate:
- an understanding of administrative functions
- the ability to carry out administrative tasks autonomously
- a vocational assessment/interview will be carried out prior to acceptance.
You will need to collect a variety of evidence such as statements, observations and testimonies to build a portfolio. A model assignment for each unit is provided. All of this will be under the guidance of an assessor. Once the criteria for each unit has been met, the unit will be signed off as competent.
This course is a roll on, roll off course (RORO), which means flexible start and completion dates throughout the year. The Level 2 Diploma in Administration (Business Professional) provides opportunities for progression to further learning within the suite, to other related qualifications or to employment.
Fees quoted apply to courses starting in the academic year 2020/21 (August 2020 – July 2021). There may be a slight increase in fees for courses starting 2021/22.
If you are aged 16-18, due to Government funding, tuition fees may not be applicable for your course. (Please note: this does not apply to Foundation Degrees or Access to Higher Education courses, and other courses not eligible for public funding.)
