The OCR Level 4 Diploma is suitable for those who wish to develop their knowledge, understanding and skills of complex administrative functions and activities. It recognises your ability to carry out a wide range of administrative tasks, operating autonomously, in a senior or supervisory role.
To achieve a full OCR Level 4 Diploma in Business Administration (Business Professional), you must achieve 37 credits made up of two mandatory units of 20 credits and optional units totalling 17 credits.

Although no previous formal qualifications are required to embark on the qualification, you will
need to demonstrate:
- knowledge and understanding of complex administrative functions and activities
- the ability to carry out non-routine administrative duties in a senior/supervisory role
- a vocational assessment/interview will be carried out prior to acceptance.
This qualification is suitable for those aged 19 years and over.
You will need to collect a variety of evidence such as statements, observations and testimonies to build a portfolio. A model assignment for each unit is provided. All of this will be under the guidance of an assessor. Once the criteria for each unit has been met, the unit will be signed off as competent.
This course is a roll on, roll off course (RORO), which means flexible start and completion dates throughout the year. The Level 4 Diploma in Administration (Business Professional) provides opportunities for progression to other related qualifications or to employment.
Fees quoted apply to courses starting in the academic year 2020/21 (August 2020 – July 2021). There may be a slight increase in fees for courses starting 2021/22.
If you are aged 16-18, due to Government funding, tuition fees may not be applicable for your course. (Please note: this does not apply to Foundation Degrees or Access to Higher Education courses, and other courses not eligible for public funding.)
