The beauty industry is booming, and achieving that bronzed, post-holiday glow can now be achieved without leaving the country. As people become more aware of the health risks of sunbeds and excess sunbathing, tanning treatments are more popular than ever.
On this course, you’ll learn about manual and spray tanning treatments, as well as how to use tanning products and equipment. We’ll teach you about different tanning treatments, as well as their key ingredients and benefits.
This course includes the following subjects:
- tanning treatments – including spray and cream
- using professional tanning products
- anatomy and physiology
- safety, patch testing and client care
- health and safety.
There are no specific entry requirements for this course.
There are no formal exams.
On successful completion of this course, you may be able to progress to another course beauty therapy course at City College. Alternatively, you may wish to consider self-employment or benefit from enhanced employment opportunities.
Fees quoted apply to courses starting in the academic year 2020/21 (August 2020 – July 2021). There may be a slight increase in fees for courses starting 2021/22.
If you are aged 16-18, due to Government funding, tuition fees may not be applicable for your course. (Please note: this does not apply to Foundation Degrees or Access to Higher Education courses, and other courses not eligible for public funding.)
