This advanced art and design course will get your creative juices flowing! You’ll start with the basics of sculpture, line drawing, ceramics, fashion design and much more, and work your way up to completion of a full level 3 course. Along the way you will exhibit your work and experiment in different techniques. Most of all, you’ll have loads of fun!

The course covers the following subject areas:
- visual language

- materials, processes and technical skills
- 2D problem solving
- 3D problem solving
- engaging with an audience
- preparation for progression
- final major project.
In order to be successful on this course you will need:
- GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above in English and maths
- a level 2 qualification in art and design
- a passion for art!
If you don’t have any formal qualifications, but have a good portfolio of existing work then you may still be considered for the course.
There are no exams. You will be assessed on your coursework – some will be practical, some will be via ‘question and answer’, and some will be presentations. There will be a small amount of written work.
Upon successful completion you may progress to a Degree in Fine Art or another related subject, or gain employment as a freelance artist.
Fees quoted apply to courses starting in the academic year 2020/21 (August 2020 – July 2021). There may be a slight increase in fees for courses starting 2021/22.
If you are aged 16-18, due to Government funding, tuition fees may not be applicable for your course. (Please note: this does not apply to Foundation Degrees or Access to Higher Education courses, and other courses not eligible for public funding.)
