If you are a creative person and would like to find out how to develop your skills and learn professional techniques, this is the course for you. Whether you’re looking to take up art as a hobby or pave your way into a new career, we’ll teach you the skills you need to hone your craft.
This course covers the following subjects:
- an introduction to materials, processes and skills
- an introduction to contextual research
- health and safety in workshops
- an introduction to tools and techniques
- using sketchbooks to record and explore ideas
- art and design techniques.
There are no specific entry requirements.
There are no formal exams.
On successful completion of this course, you may wish to progress to another, more specified art and design course at City College.
