What's it all about?

The CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management is a professional qualification based on the CIPD Profession Map.

The Map was launched in 2018 having been developed in collaboration with a wide range of experts working at the heart of the profession. It sets the international benchmark for the people profession and provides a strong foundation to give people professionals the confidence and capabilities to guide their decision-making, actions and behaviours.

Course information

You will study the following topics:

  • organisational performance and culture in practice
  • evidence-based practice
  • professional behaviours and valuing people
  • employment relationship management
  • talent management and workforce planning
  • reward for performance and contribution
  • leadership and management development.

This course is suitable if you already hold a level 3 CIPD qualification or if you hold a substantive HR role or have worked in HR in the past.

Over the duration of this course, you will complete an internally marked and moderated assessment for each of the units.

You will receive either a pass or fail. All assessment criteria must be met in order to
achieve a pass.

There are no formal exams.

Successful achievement of the CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management will allow progression onto the CIPD Level 7 Strategic Management and Leadership Practice.
