City College Plymouth delivers this IMIAL Award in Electrically Propelled Vehicle Repair and Replacements as part of its commitment to supporting change and development within the electrical and hybrid vehicle industry. This will ensure individuals on the course are provided with the knowledge and skills they need to stay ahead. Those working with EVs will be required to maintain, repair and service vehicles to the highest possible standards – and have the correct knowledge and understanding of the issues that are emerging. Course information
Entry requirements are assessed on an individual basis. Selection criteria for entry will take into account each applicant’s existing academic/vocational qualifications and experience in working in the retail automotive industry.
Although not mandatory, it is recommended that you should have three GCSEs, or Scottish Standard grade/intermediate in maths, English and a science-based subject.
This qualification is suited to individuals looking for a career in the automotive industry and those already employed as technicians – as well as those working in the fleet, public or emergency sectors.
