About the course

This part-time beauty therapy course will give you the specialist skills you need to carry out
advanced treatments for either pure beauty therapy or massage therapy. The beauty therapy
route includes facial techniques, microdermabrasion, body massage and stone therapy; the
massage therapy route includes body massage, stone therapy, Indian head massage and
aroma massage. This course will provide you with all the skills needed for employment in the
beauty industry, from mobile therapists to working on cruise liners, salons or spas.

 Level 2 Beauty Therapy

MASSAGE THERAPY ROUTE

 Either Level 2 Beauty Therapy, industry experience or five GCSEs (including English)

Assessments/Exams

Externally set online theory exams.
Internally marked practical observations for each module.
Completion of portfolio including assignments.

You will be assessed by practical observations in a realistic environment on paying clients,
and through assignment work, which will include oral and written questions. A portfolio of
evidence is required to complete the course and support assessments.

What's next?

On successful completion you be able to go on to a Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology or Aromatherapy.

Important information

Fees quoted apply to courses starting in the academic year 2020/21 (August 2020 – July 2021). There may be a slight increase in fees for courses starting 2021/22.

If you are aged 16-18, due to Government funding, tuition fees may not be applicable for your course. (Please note: this does not apply to Foundation Degrees or Access to Higher Education courses, and other courses not eligible for public funding.)
