This Level 4 Diploma in Business Administration allows you to develop and expand your skills in the sector whilst achieving a nationally recognised qualification that is valued by employers. This qualification will give you the opportunity to prepare for a career in business administation or management by increasing your understanding and competence in the workplace. The course is a valuable contribution to your continued professional development and is must for those looking to take the business world by storm!
This qualification consists of the following mandatory units:
- communicating in a business environment
- resolving administrative problems
- manage the work of an administrative function
- manage personal and professional development.
You will also have the opportunity to select additional units from a wide range of subject areas specific to your job role, for example:
- contribute to the design and development of an information system
- manage information systems
- support environmental sustainability in a business environment
- prepare specifications for contracts
- manage events
- negotiate in business environment.
There are no formal entry requirements, although you must be employed in an administration role with management responsibilities and permission for work-based assessments from your employer.
There are no formal exams – all work is assessed on an ongoing basis throughout the programme, using a variety of assessment methods such as: observations, product evidence, witness testimonies, case histories, personal statements, professional discussions and written and verbal questions.
Fees quoted apply to courses starting in the academic year 2020/21 (August 2020 – July 2021). There may be a slight increase in fees for courses starting 2021/22.
If you are aged 16-18, due to Government funding, tuition fees may not be applicable for your course. (Please note: this does not apply to Foundation Degrees or Access to Higher Education courses, and other courses not eligible for public funding.)
