What's it all about?

The purpose of this course is to increase your knowledge and awareness of the Prevent duty and safeguarding, including online safety. By completing the qualification, you will develop knowledge of safeguarding in an environment where you have a duty of care.

Course information

The minimum age for enrolment on to this qualification is 18 years.

In order to be successful on this course you will be required to have a minimum of level 2 English and good digital skills.

This qualification is for existing training staff in further education, schools, independent training providers and local authority education providers wishing to increase their own knowledge and effectiveness in safeguarding and Prevent.

You will be assessed through activities that are internally set by the tutor, in areas such as:

  • written description
  • oral question and answers
  • professional discussions
  • reflective descriptions.
