What's it all about?

This qualification is designed for those who want to improve their knowledge of the functions of housing associations and ways in which their tenants can be supported. It will support those within the housing sector to develop their knowledge of how to better support tenants.

Course information

You will study the following five mandatory units:

  • introduction to the social housing sector
  • understand the principles of safeguarding and equality and diversity knowledge
  • understand mental and physical ill-health knowledge
  • understand reasons for problematic behaviour
  • understand issues affecting isolated tenants.

Please note that this course is only available to those 19 years old or over.

There are no other specific entry requirements for this course.

The course is internally assessed via a portfolio of evidence and externally quality assured.

You may progress onto a range of other health and social care distance learning courses at the College.

Please note fees are quoted for one year only.
