What's it all about?

This course is an introductory certificate for construction trades. It will give you an insight into the construction industry and enable you to progress on to specific skills training and development in bricklaying, carpentry and joinery, painting and decorating and plastering.

Course information

The course will enable you to develop your hand-skills in the construction trades. Skills areas covered include bricklaying, carpentry and joinery, painting and decorating and plastering.

There are no specific entry requirements for this course.

Your lecturer will assess your work and you will be required to undertake an online health and safety test which will lead to the completion of the CSCS card testing required to access building sites.

Upon successful completion you may progress to a full-time diploma level 1 and 2 course, an Apprenticeship or gain employment.
