This City & Guilds 2391-51 certification in periodic inspection and testing course is a four-day course at City College Plymouth. It is aimed at those who already have practical experience of inspection and testing of low voltage electrical installations, and who wish to become certificated.
The course covers principles, practices and legislation of periodic inspection, and testing and condition reporting of electrical installations.
It is strongly recommended that you have a good understanding of inspection processes and have achieved the City & Guilds Fundamental Inspection or Initial Verification Certificates.
There is one online exam, one practical assessment and one written exam.
On successful completion you may progress to the City & Guilds Initial Verification of Electrical Systems Certificate at the College.
Fees quoted apply to courses starting in the academic year 2018/19 (August 2018 – July 2019). There may be a slight increase in fees for courses starting 2019/20.
