This course is a proven route into employment or higher education. The course combines a variety of modules to provide you with an outstanding level of sports knowledge, while being able to learn and improve your skills as a teacher or coach of the future. The course will allow you to develop skills and knowledge both inside a theory and practical setting and is an essential qualification for those interested in sports with a passion for coaching.

You will need to have a minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including Maths or English.
The course is mainly assessed via coursework, but you will also be required to sit four exams. These external exams are assessed by BTEC, with two being sat in year one, and two in year two.
Upon successful completion you may progress to:
- the Foundation Degree in Strength and Conditioning at the College
- the Foundation Degree in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation at the College
- other HE study.
Fees quoted apply to courses starting in the academic year 2020/21 (August 2020 – July 2021). There may be a slight increase in fees for courses starting 2021/22.
If you are aged 16-18, due to Government funding, tuition fees may not be applicable for your course. (Please note: this does not apply to Foundation Degrees or Access to Higher Education courses, and other courses not eligible for public funding.)
