What's it all about?

Combustion Performance Analysis training and assessment is required for all Gas Safe Registered engineers to carry out work on certain types of boilers and heaters. This Gas Safe approved course at City College Plymouth is designed to give you an understanding of combustion theory and will allow you to gain competence in using flue gas analysers, testing combustion output for services and identifying problems.

Course information

You will undertake a blend of practical and theory assessments to prove your knowledge and skills. You will learn the principles of combustion, correct/incorrect combustion and their causes as well as obtaining and using readings by flue gas analyers to diagnose faults.

Candidates must hold CCN1.

Assessment is based on practical activities.

On successful completion of this course, you could benefit from increased opportunities in business and employment. You may also wish to progress onto another course at the College.
